There is a wide variety of creative talent in my family from painters to musicians to carpentry, so naturally and luckily I inherited a bit of that! I've always loved many types of art forms but my passion developed into creating imagery through photography while in college. I love photographing people as they are naturally. Even if the kids aren't smiling or not everyone is looking at the camera, that's ok because that's real life. I love to capture real life. We only get one, so why not embrace it and enjoy it the way it's supposed to be!
I'm originally from Maryland, but really, I can't lie, I'm a Texas girl!

+ I used to be a competitive swimmer, and played softball, ran track, did pole vaulting, played soccer... you name it, I've probably done it!
quick facts about me
Honestly, there wasn't anything else that I could see myself doing. Among all of the other occupations I've had, Photography just kept creeping into my heart and my life, and the more I did it and learned about it, the more I loved it, and I just wanted to do what I love. Being a photographer allows me to express my art and my creativity in a way that makes me feel free, and brings me so much joy to create art for others.

why i became a
I believe my creativity and photography style is uniquely me! I like to be simple, yet fun, authentic, and natural. I think the best photos come from the most natural moments, rather than something meticulously curated. I don't overly edit my images, yet rather let the natural tones and feeling of the scene direct the editing and feeling of my images.
My personal style is similar. I favor simple grays and cool colors. I like a mix of organic and modern shapes. If you saw my closet, you'd think "How many grey sweaters and shirts does a girl need?" Ha!!

my style
I believe that there's too much of real life that we often miss because of all that we are distracted by or too busy to notice. Something that I strive for in my photography work is to capture those real life moments that make you slow down and realize all the joy that's there for you to soak in. Life can be perfect just the way you are, without having to force it into a pose.

My most favorite time of the year is when the scorching heat has finally stopped, the nights are cool, the air smells particularly fresh, and all the color that bursts fourth from the land. Taking in a deep breath of fresh air after a fall rain shower and the leaves falling is really just the best feeling in the whole world!

my favorite season
I was born in Maryland, and spent my childhood roaming the tall forests of the east coast. Whenever I get to visit, it always feels like a second home to me. I still have family there, and I just love that area. I also am really drawn to the mountains, and as a family we love to visit Colorado!

WE LOVE TO HAVE FUN TOGETHER OUTDOORS CAMPING, SWIMMING, HIKING & FISHING, GOING TO CHURCH, ROAD TRIPS, CRAFTING, PLAYING GAMES, WATCHING MOVIES, AND EXPLORING A NEW PLAYGROUND.
My kids also have seemed to inherit a creative gene, because literally every day they are asking me to do a "project". They scour through my art supplies to find whatever they can to make a card, poster, story board, menu for their pretend shop, or just to draw a picture of our family. There's not a square inch of my house that hasn't seen some kind of crayon, marker, glue, paint spill, or accidental swipe! (palm face). But I love it and wouldn't have it any other way!
